Environmental Health and Safety Technician - 2nd shift

Our operations in Conway, Arkansas includes metal stamping, forming, painting, and assembly. The facility utilizes stamping presses, brake presses, roll formers, lasers, shears, and a multi-stage paint process. A concept to finished products company providing parts and sub-assemblies to customers. Approximately 100,000 square feet of floor space and 50 acres are utilized for fabrication operations. An additional 350,000 square feet is available for future business growth.

General Responsibilities :

• Maintain Hazardous and nonhazardous storage areas.
• Maintain safety observation database.
• Conduct Safety Training.
• Create and maintain Energy Control Plan.
• Act as chaperone for EHS and / or Emergency visitors.
• Inspect and maintain all eyewash stations throughout the facility.
• Administer first aid to associates as needed.
• Create and maintain a PPE Matrix by task.
• Perform regulatory compliance checks throughout the facility.
• Evaluate and address EHS-related responsibilities.
• Monitor and update SDS books through a new chemical acceptance program.
• Stormwater Sampling and Inspections (quarterly and monthly).
• Storage Building Weekly inspections and inventory, (weekly).
• Verification and labeling of drums (weekly).
• Transporting of waste and empty drums to storage building. (weekly).
• Manifesting and Shipping (monthly).
• Steel aerosol can puncture and recycling.
• Air Emissions.
• Monitoring (EPA Method 9).
• Inspection (monthly).
