Starting Salary : $90,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience)
Hours / Day : 8
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts

Position Summary
The Surgery Director is responsible for planning, directing, supervising, coordinating, and actively assisting with the daily operations of Surgical Services. This role provides leadership to ensure high-quality patient care, efficient service delivery, and staff engagement within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan, direct, and coordinate daily departmental activities within Surgical Services.
- Collaborate with medical staff leadership to develop and expand surgical service lines.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives for the future direction of Surgical Services.
- Drive departmental performance improvement and represent the department on interdisciplinary teams.
- Develop and review departmental policies, procedures, and standards as a multidisciplinary team leader.
- Determine and maintain staffing and scheduling to ensure full coverage of operations.
- Partner with HR for recruitment, coaching, counseling, and employee relations.
- Coordinate staff training and cross-training to enhance departmental flexibility.
- Foster collaboration with physicians, management, and other departments for coordinated patient services.
- Monitor, evaluate, and act to improve the quality of surgical care.
- Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets.
- Promote a respectful and professional work environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Participate in community activities that support and promote Surgical Services.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new surgical providers.
Qualifications :
Active Michigan RN License – RequiredBSN Degree – RequiredACLS Certification – Required (3-month grace period allowed)3–5 years of Surgical Leadership experience – Required24 / 7 accountability for departmental operations.Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.Certification Requirements :
