Certified Medical Assistant (CMA / RMA) - In School Health Pekin Preschool

Overview

Under general supervision, oversees workflow of day-to-day duties of the school health office; performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions as assigned by the school registered nurse to optimize a positive learning environment for students and staff. Responsibilities will vary according to the school health program and the school's medical needs.

Responsibilities

Clinical Excellence / Patient Care

• Serves as the primary point of contact for students needing health assistance and maintains good working relationships with students, parents, staff members, and administration.
• Provides care to students by possessing knowledge and skills necessary to perform various clinical tasks, and reporting illnesses / injuries to parents and the school nurse as warranted.
• Assists school nurse with administering daily medication to students prescribed by the Primary Care Provider, as delegated and in accordance with the written policy.
• Maintain student immunization and health records, along with class lists.
• Review Emergency / Medical History forms for completeness and appropriateness of information.
• Monitors and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of school compliance for immunizations, physical

examinations, and vision / hearing screenings. Reports all non-compliance cases to registered nurse and / or building principal in a timely manner.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.67per hour - $28.63per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
