Real Estate Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and reconciling books for a diverse portfolio of corporate entities, investment entity holding companies, and fund companies. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review comprehensive financial reports with accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain the General Ledger through journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, cash disbursement, and treasury functions efficiently.
• Oversee accounts receivable, cash receipts, and reporting functions for smooth cash flow.
• Collaborate with external payroll service providers for timely and accurate payroll submissions.
• Conduct monthly closings of corporate and holding company books, reviewing balance sheets and income statements.
• Prepare investor distribution batch file uploads to the investor portal.
• Assist in the preparation and tracking of the corporate budget.
• Ensure compliance with annual statutory reporting and payments.
• Cultivate close working relationships with property managers, accountants, and field personnel.
• Monitor timely payments of monthly debt service, asset management fees, and other financial obligations.
• Collaborate with external auditors and assist with audit work papers and documentation.
• Contribute to the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
• Update and maintain policies, procedures, and a Critical Dates tracker.
• Assist in special projects, using problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

This role requires working 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule : 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. Once fully trained, the schedule can adjust to 1 day in office and 4 days remote. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilbraham, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $33.65 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
