American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, BLS and ARDMS certification, and strong Epic charting skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in a medical imaging ultrasound departmentDay shifts, Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PMPerforms routine and specialized ultrasound examinations for patients of all agesMust be able to assess abdominal arterial and venous systems using color imagingWorks with various ultrasound equipment and is expected to be knowledgeable in its operationRequires use of Epic EMR with documented experienceNo local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facilityConducts diagnostic ultrasound procedures and prepares patients for examinationsAssists radiologist with biopsies and orders labs and pathology as directedPrepares and maintains sterile trays and equipment, and troubleshoots issues as neededGuides students and fellow technologists, sharing departmental protocolsParticipates in QA, QC, and QI programs within the departmentRTO (Requested Time Off) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contractEmployees may not remain on continuous assignment for more than 1 year and must take a 6-month break before returningTravel partners are not permitted\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year ultrasound / sonography experienceAssociate’s degree in Ultrasound / Sonography or completion of an accredited Ultrasound / Sonography programCurrent BLS (AHA) and ARDMS certification requiredEpic charting experience requiredCompetency in performing and adapting ultrasound procedures, including sterile technique for biopsiesProficiency in English and basic computer knowledgeStrong critical thinking, communication, and multicultural sensitivity skillsLevel 1 trauma experience requiredLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
