Role Description :

The Eberhard Manufacturing team is seeking a Screw Machine Operator for our facility in Strongsville, OH. This is a 1st shift (7 : 00am-3 : 30pm) full-time position. The Screw Machine Operator will be responsible for the set up and run production as well as maintaining quality on Davenport Machines / Brown & Sharpes by maintaining tool sharpening as needed Dovetails and Drills. They will know the location of Departmental Work Instructions as well as know material specs and stock machines as needed.

Responsibilities :

Operates Chip Spinner
Loads chips from the screw machine into the chip spinner
Operates the spinner to remove oil and recycle
Repeats the process throughout the day alternating between the chip spinner and the screw machines
Loads Bars into Screw Machine
Loads pipe into the screw machine to manufacture screw of varying sizes and shapes
Operates the Screw Machine
Manipulates lever to adjust the pipe and pushes button to run the machine once bars / pipe is loaded
Observes machine operations for any problems and shuts down to repair / remove jam, etc.
Maintains machines maintenance requirements, continuous inspection of parts, Chip Spinning for reuse of oils is to be maintained by operator
Inspection of finished product done by Inspection Department before leaving Screw Machine Department

Requirements :

High School Diploma or equivalent

Any knowledge of operating Brown & Sharpes / Davenports and maintaining quality of machining and set ups

Strong mechanical aptitude

Basic math skills

Basic knowledge of tools including micrometers and calipers

Ability to read blueprints
