I ndeck Ladysmith - WOOD PELLET FUEL AND BBQ SALES – LADYSMITH, WI

Role Summary :

For more than 25 years, Indeck has demonstrated the imagination, know-how, and determination it takes to succeed in this ever-changing industry.

We seek a Maintenance Technician for our Indeck Ladysmith Biofuel facility, a 90,000 ton / year producer of high-quality wood pellets for use as heating, BBQ fuel, and animal bedding. The Ladysmith, WI facility came online in 2009 and has quickly established itself by providing consistent, high-performing products as well as exceptional customer service. We are amongst just a few producers nationwide that have been qualified by the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) Standards Program. The Maintenance Technician works in a manufacturing environment and contributes to ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems within the facility are performing properly and supporting the achievement of plant goals and objectives.

Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains equipment.
  • Performs general and preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Performs non-certified welding, cutting, and fabrication as required.
  • Working knowledge of motor load centers, power distribution systems, and motor / electrical controls.
  • Perform daily and weekly housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follows company safety rules, and uses appropriate PPE and safety gear provided.

Desired Skills & Experience :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; two-year technical degree preferred.
  • Five years of demonstrated work experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on manufacturing and plant equipment, machinery, and controls.
  • A solid working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of working with and around 480 volt and low voltage wiring.
  • Basic PLC knowledge.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, work well with others, and be extremely safety-oriented.
  • Employment Type : Full Time.

    Salary : Based on Experience.
