We are currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for full-time positions for the 2025-2026 school year at a charter school in Cook County, Illinois.

This is an exciting opportunity to support students in a self-contained classroom environment. The school is hiring for multiple grade levels and subject areas, offering a range of placement options based on your background and endorsements.

Position Details :

Location : In-person (no virtual or hybrid option)

Start Date : 8 / 6 / 2025

End Date : 6 / 5 / 2026

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 25 am - 3 : 15 pm

Weekly Guaranteed Hours : 37.5 hours

Caseload : 10 - 12 students

Available Positions :

Middle School Math (endorsement required).

1st-4th Grade ELA (ESL endorsement preferred).

1st-3rd Grade (Bilingual or ESL endorsement preferred).

Responsibilities :

Serve as a Special Education Teacher for a middle school self-contained classroom.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Provide instruction in a variety of settings, including small group and one-on-one instruction.

Monitor and assess students’ progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as needed.

Manage classroom behavior and provide a positive, supportive learning environment.

Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress with parents and school administrators.

Attend and participate in meetings related to students' education, including IEP meetings.

Qualifications :

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1.
