Overview
Van Driver role at Avantic Lodging Enterprises. Primary responsibilities include driving guests to designated locations, assisting guests with luggage, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and concierge duties. Vans must be driven according to scheduled runs and / or as needed for guests, with attentive, courteous and efficient service during their stay. Strong analytical and navigation skills are required to coordinate multiple pick-ups and drop-offs on a dynamic schedule.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required and / or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Minimum of one year driving experience.
- Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record).
- Clear and effective communication; ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Job Duties & Functions
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Avantic Lodging Enterprises standards; scheduling varies according to hotel needs.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag per brand standards.Comply with Avantic Lodging Enterprises standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Greet guests in a pleasant manner; load and unload luggage carts and van with luggage; escort guests to rooms upon request.Check / store luggage for arrivals / departures using luggage tags.Open and close cab doors for arriving and departing guests.Deliver messages to meeting rooms; maintain current listings of local attractions, events, and transportation guides.Provide information, maps, and directions as required; ensure lobby reader board is correct.Maintain cleanliness of motor entrance, front door and lobby area; deliver flowers, packages and messages to guest rooms.Complete room changes; maintain cleanliness of van interior and exterior.Drive van as per scheduled runs; assist guest services agents as needed; show guest rooms and suites and highlight company amenities.Other duties as required.Working Conditions / Environment
