Job Summary / Objective :

  • As a Powder Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Ava / Sapac Packaging equipment, ensuring Company production standards are met for pounds and bags per hour.
  • Perform start-up and shut-down procedures for various equipment, including powder bin, rare earth magnet, packaging filler, ink jet coding machine, metal detection equipment, and palletizing system.
  • Maintain adequate packaging supply stock, uphold accurate record-keeping, and ensure a clean work environment.
  • Adhere to SOPs, HACCP guidelines, and UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies.
  • Report any nonconformities and perform other duties as needed.
  • The schedule for this position is 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. on a rotating 2-2-3 shift.

    • Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following : Perform the efficient operation of all Sapac Packaging equipment to maintain Company established production standards for pounds per hour of finished product and bags per hour.
  • Perform start-up and shut-down functions of the powder bin and rare earth magnet, packaging filler, ink jet coding machine, metal detection equipment and palletizing system.
  • Maintain proper packaging supply stock.
  • Keep accurate and legible records.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Adhere to all SOP’s and HACCP guidelines.
  • Adhere to all UDA quality, safety, and GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
  • Other duties as required.

    • Qualifications :

  • General Skills & Abilities needed to complete job successfully : Ability to operate packaging equipment.

    • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions in English Experience :

  • General knowledge of packaging equipment and conveyor systems is helpful.
