About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 18 months required.

License : Must have an in-state license in hand prior to start date.

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.

Must-Have :

• Solid Neuro experience.
• Experience managing Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips.
• Experience with post Heart Catheterization and post Pace-maker patients.
• Experience in a mixed acuity unit with both medical and progressive levels of care.

Description :

The position involves caring for patients in a mixed acuity environment.

The unit provides care for medical patients along with some PCU level patients.

Areas of care include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary.

Registered Nurses will care for patients with cardiac drips and unstable strokes.

Patient ratios will be 1 : 5-6 for medical surgical patients and 1 : 3-4 for PCU patients.

Nurses will float as needed and must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Travelers must have extensive experience with telemetry and PCU nursing.

Candidates are required to have skills in IV management, dysrhythmias, and telemetry monitoring.

The unit emphasizes teamwork and interdisciplinary support from various healthcare professionals.
