Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the future of Publix? We are seeking a Construction Coordinator to join our construction team. As the on-site construction representative and field advisor, you'll partner closely with the retail construction manager to oversee the building of multiple new stores, remodels, and special projects. In this position, you'll provide essential support to contractors and subcontractors, ensuring every project is completed on schedule and meets Publix's high standards for quality, safety, and industry excellence.
Responsibilities :
- Acting as an on-site Publix Construction representative for new Publix stores and shopping centers to ensure projects are progressing safely, on time, and according to high-quality standards
- Overseeing the remodeling of multiple stores simultaneously (up to 15 at once) to ensure construction projects are completed safely, on time, and according to high-quality standards
- Coordinating with various stakeholders (e.g., contractors, subcontractors, vendors, store managers, design managers, maintenance coordinators, refrigeration coordinators, merchandisers, and Information Systems Technology Supervisors (ISTS)) to support the Corporate 3-Year-Plan and retail sales projections
- Providing on-site support and advice to the construction manager on the timely and safe construction of new stores, remodels, and / or special projects
Required Qualifications :
Associate's degree in a construction-related course of study or equivalent combination of formal training / certification and professional work experience that demonstrates the prerequisite competence to perform the duties of this position6 years of experience in general constructionValid driver's licenseAdvanced knowledge of the various construction methods and materials related to commercial constructionAdvanced knowledge of construction drawings and installation manualsAdvanced knowledge of retail construction trades including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and roofingKnowledge of regional building codes and other regulatory agency requirementsKnowledge of the standard building code and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)Preferred Qualifications :
