  • Unit : Step-Down / PCU (Progressive Care Unit nursing jobs)\n
  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks\n
  • Start Date : January 19, 2026\n
  • End Date : April 20, 2026\n
  • Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36\n
  • Setting : On-site, hospital-based\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1470–$1570\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state)\n
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down, or acute care nursing setting\n
  • Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring\n
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required\n
  • Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills\n
  • Experience with Meditech EMR preferred\n

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in an 8-bed Progressive Care Unit\n
  • Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and changes in patient condition\n
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including RNs and Patient Care Technicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
  • Accurately document all patient care activities in the Meditech EMR system\n
  • Educate and support patients and their families throughout the care process\n
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and compliant environment for patients and staff\n
