DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT FOR 1 OF THE TOP, HIGH PROFILE NONPROFIT ORG WITH GROWTH

Job Description

THIS HIGHLY PRESTIGIOUS, NONPROFIT ORG IS SEEKING A DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT. This position is on-site 5 days a week.

Position Summary : Supports the Director of Development and the Development team in executing events and other programs and provides logistical and administrative support. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team, showing both strong initiatives to reach individual goals as well as support the overall team goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assists in the coordination, planning, and execution of donor cultivation events.
• Coordinate, track, and report event registration and attendance.
• Accurately track event costs and keep a detailed financial record for each event.
• Assist in the solicitation for in-kind donors.
• Create, send, and track invites for various events.
• Coordinate and set up quarterly donor call campaigns.
• Research vendors, venues, and other event aspects as needed.
• Assist in the coordination and selection of event volunteers.
• Provide support pre, day-of-event, and post-event logistics and timelines for fundraising events.
• Assist with other projects and development tasks as assigned by the Director of Development.
• Field requests for information and direct calls, and emails as appropriate.

Qualifications

Required : Bachelor’s Degree, or a combination of education and experience. Comfortable using databases and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 3 years of solid experience as a Development Assistant in a non-profit Org

Detail-oriented, highly organized, oral, and written communication skills. A self-starter who prioritizes multiple projects to meet deadlines and produces accurate results. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team, showing strong initiative to reach individual goal as well as support the overall team goals.
