Mortgage Loan Coordinator
The Mortgage Loan Coordinator is responsible for timely and accurate processing and closing of mortgage loan files. The Mortgage Loan Coordinator works with the Mortgage Loan Originator, member, title company and other third-party agencies in an effort to seamlessly take mortgage loan files to closing and deliver a positive member experience. The Mortgage Loan Coordinator is responsible for processing and closing mortgage loans according to established workflow, procedures, and assuring that all loan files meet company policies, as well as all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Processes and prepares loan applications for underwriting by reviewing and verifying eligibility of the applicant and the associated loan documents. Orders and reviews external services such as appraisal, title, flood, employment verification, etc., to ensure the information provided on the loan application is accurate. Responsible for verifying that each loan file is processed in a compliant manner.
- Serves as the last checkpoint for mortgage loans by completing final verifications and clearing closing conditions. Inputs key information to prepare closing paperwork and verifies accuracy of closing packages. Coordinates closings with various title agencies, mortgage loan originators and members.
- Reviews pipeline to ensure loan notes, statuses, and dates are accurate and turn-times are met.
- Acts as liaison with all interested parties to ensure the successful outcome of the loan application process.
- Maintains current knowledge of guidelines, policies, and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience : Three or more years of mortgage processing and mortgage closing experience is required.
Education : A bachelor's degree in business administration or finance is required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, work-related experience and / or military experience.
