Transmission Engineer I

Job Summary

Streaming and Transmission Role supports 24 / 7 monitoring and operational sustainment for Linear and Event streaming products (Disney Entertainment & ESPN Transmission). As a member of our 24 / 7, highly skilled streaming transmission team, you will support critical streaming broadcast systems, oversee and analyze audio / video transmissions across multiple data centers, and ensure successful management, monitoring, and delivery of live linear and live event broadcast streams within the IP-based transmission ecosystem. You will work with cutting edge technology and be responsible for The Walt Disney Company’s most valuable sports and entertainment content airing on our linear and event streaming platforms. Content Platforms & Operations

Content Platforms & Operations is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney’s linear networks and theatrical content. This includes Disney’s media supply chain and storage, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, network transmission and origination, and more. The global team collaborates with Disney’s EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.

Compensation

The base salary for this position in San Francisco, CA is $80,100 - $107,300 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. A bonus and / or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
