EDUCATIONAL / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
The Salesforce Platform Engineer requires a minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field and :
- 5+ years of experience in Salesforce administration, engineering, or platform management roles, with a strong focus on enterprise-scale environments.
- Active Salesforce platform certifications required (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I or II, Sharing & Visibility Architect, or Security & Identity Architect).
- Strong expertise in Salesforce security and compliance controls, including HIPAA / HITECH, role-based access, encryption, and audit logging.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins-based pipelines) and CI / CD practices.
- Strong background in APIs, integrations, and middleware; experience with REST, SOAP, and event-driven architectures.
- Direct experience integrating Salesforce with EHR applications in a healthcare environment.
- Proven expertise configuring and managing Okta SSO and provisioning for Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
- Proficiency with ETL / data integration tools such as Fivetran, MuleSoft, or Informatica.
- Experience managing data migrations, bulk operations, and data synchronization across Salesforce and external systems.
- Strong knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies for Salesforce.
- Proficiency in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Apex for admin-level tasks).
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or ISO27001 in relation to Salesforce.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for platform-level issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner across IT, Security, and business teams.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing long-term platform strategy with immediate operational needs.
