job_description.job_card.job_descriptionMay help conduct periodic inventory Any other duties as assigned by Maintenance Tooling Specialist Must have a minimum of 2 year experience in plastic injection molding manufacturing environment Must have or be able to acquire hand tools to complete assigned tasks Good computer skills a definite plus Ability to work in a team environment and meet deadlines Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to learn basic techniques of Mold components, welding, metal working (Mill, Lathe, Surface Grinder) and electrical maintenance as pertaining to tooling aspects Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Good written and oral communication skills Must possess a valid KMA Forklift License Satisfactory work records, including attendance Willingness to work overtime when necessary and some shift work and on-call emergency response may be required Ability to stand, climb ladder onto machines, lifting 50 lbs., bending and stooping

POSITION DESCRIPTION—Hourly Position
POSITION TITLE : Tooling Tech
Department : Engineering
Reports To : Tooling Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY :
Track and perform various preventive maintenance activities on plastic injection molds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Track and perform preventive maintenance activities on Plastic Injection Molds
- Utilize proper safety precautions related to all work performed
- Respond to emergencies as needed
- Utilizes the company lockout and tag-out procedures to insure safe working environment
- Assists with maintaining inventory records
- Uses overhead cranes and tow motor
- Inspects and evaluates molds at prescribed intervals of time and usage or upon malfunction or breakdown
- Maintains schedule of preventative maintenance measures
- Updates all PM and work order activities in PLEX
- Reports any accidents, incidents, or hazardous situations to supervisor immediately
- 5s Principles must be a priority
