Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit float position with night shifts and strong adaptability across PCU and Med-Surg units.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Resource Pool RN position floating to all PCU and Med-Surg units in the hospital
  • Expected to float every 4 hours based on hospital staffing needs
  • Night shift schedule : 3x12 hours, 18 : 45 to 7 : 15
  • PCU patient ratio is 5 : 1; Med-Surg patient ratio is 6-7 : 1
  • Epic EMR experience required and utilized across units
  • Must be willing and able to float frequently to any PCU or Med-Surg unit as needed
  • Compliance documents must be completed prior to start
  • Required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, and two holidays during winter (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, NYE / New Year's)
  • No Christmas time off requests will be approved
  • Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted for travel roles
  • Travelers living 50-99.9 miles from the facility may be considered for one 13-week assignment with no extension eligibility
  • Previous employees must be separated for at least one year before returning
  • Orientation includes mandatory modules, which may be completed pre-start or during first week

  • Active VA or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Experience working all PCU and Medical-Surgical units required
  • Epic charting experience is required
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Must provide copy of driver’s license and Social Security card
