This recruitment aims to fill a Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) position with an anticipated duration of up to 2 years. If the position is filled by a King County employee who has successfully completed their initial probation, they will be offered the role as a Special Duty Assignment.

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the administration and compliance of the Capital Architectural / Engineering Work Order program. Striving to keep projects moving forward, this role will be essential to support the smaller project needs of WTDs capital program. It will require a high level of customer service, attention to detail, and resilience in order to support project staff. Responsibilities include supporting procurement efforts, contract administration, and compliance.

Qualifications you bring :

• Three or more years of experience managing and procuring government Architectural / Engineering and / or Construction contracts.
• Knowledge of capital contract scopes of work, budgets, schedules, amendment development, review, negotiations, administration, and management.
• Knowledge of WA state contract law and regulations of capital projects, including the differing legal requirements for AE, purchased goods and services, and construction.
• Technical writing and proofreading skills, including ability to draft contract language.
• Knowledge of business analysis, budgeting, and scheduling practices.
• Skill in establishing effective working relationships with technical and non-technical people.
• Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint skills.
