Responsibilities : Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of operative procedures. Provide a 10-star Patient experience. Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures. Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS. Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry). Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment. Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment. Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education. Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans / photos. Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment. Monitor daily supplies for restocking. Required : minimum six months of assistant experience. Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills. Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care. Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate. Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. coronal polishing certificate.
