Overview

We are seeking a Contract Attorney with specific experience in homebuilder real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a background in drafting and reviewing purchase and sale agreements, lot contracts, closing documents, title and survey matters, homeowners association documents, easement agreements, and other ancillary development documents. Law firm experience or in-house counsel experience with a homebuilder is required, along with general real estate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing purchase and sale agreements and lot contracts
  • Reviewing title and survey matters
  • Drafting easement agreements and ancillary development documents
  • Addressing closing documents, title and survey items, and HOA documents
  • Focusing exclusively on this project with no concurrent work
  • Contributing to a strictly defined scope of work for a long-term engagement

Qualifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and reside in NC
  • Law firm or in-house homebuilder experience
  • Willingness to work 35–40 hours per week
  • Specialization in homebuilder real estate transactions
  • Preference for candidates in Raleigh; willingness to come into the office (frequency negotiable)

  • Initial term : 6 months, with likely extension
  • Project attorneys must not engage in concurrent work for other clients
  • Eligibility for 35–40 hours per week

    • Pay

    $65.00 to $85.00 per hour
