Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care / ICU position requiring variable shifts and a WI or compact license.

\n \n

Responsibilities

\n

  • Work in a 10-bed ICU / IMC unit within a trauma level 4 hospital
  • Possible float to MS unit (34 beds) and to other locations including Rhinelander, Eagle River, and Tomahawk
  • ICU nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2; IMC is 1 : 3–1 : 4; MS is 1 : 5–1 : 6
  • Variable day and night shifts required
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
  • Use of EPIC charting system preferred
  • Travelers may be put on call during periods of low census
  • Scrub colors are flexible and any color is permitted
  • Candidates must provide two references from supervisors
  • Flu vaccination or proof of declination may be required per facility protocols

    Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • At least one prior travel assignment preferred, but not required
