Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Behavioral Health Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, rotating Employment Type : Travel 438863 Short Description Strong Memorial Hospital – Level I RN, Psychiatry (Unit 3900) New Expansion Shifts : Rotating Days / Evenings / Nights Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Charge Duties : As needed per unit requirements Position Summary The Registered Nurse (Psychiatry – Unit 3900) provides comprehensive behavioral health care in a Level I setting. The RN conducts assessments, develops care plans, administers medications, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and safety. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments and gather patient case histories Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans Formulate nursing diagnoses and recommend treatment options Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff on treatment planning Administer and monitor responses to psychotropic medications Coordinate further medical interventions when needed Educate patients about their mental health conditions and treatment Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff Assess and manage pain, documenting interventions and outcomes Maintain accurate and confidential medical records Complete progress notes, documentation, and administrative duties as required Deliver courteous, high-quality service to patients, families, and the public Requirements License : Active New York RN license (NY only) Experience : Minimum 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience Certifications : BLS – American Heart Association (AHA only) CPI – Blue Card certification About Olaro Olaro Company Description Olaro is a trusted partner in healthcare staffing, connecting nurses and allied health professionals with opportunities nationwide.
