Nicklaus Children's Hospital, a 325-bed freestanding children's hospital and ACS-verified Level 1 pediatric trauma center, and Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Specialists, the physician multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children's Health System, have exceptional POOL / Staff Relief opportunities for BC / BE fellowship-trained pediatric emergency medicine physicians or BC / BE pediatric trained physicians with extensive pediatric emergency medicine experience (minimum 3 years of experience) to provide pediatric emergency medicine services at the Mastroianni Family Pediatric Emergency Department at Jupiter Medical Center, located in Palm Beach County.

Jupiter Medical Center and Nicklaus Children's Hospital are making pediatric care even more accessible to residents of Florida's Palm Beach and Martin counties with the Mastroianni Family Pediatric Emergency Department. Nicklaus Children's Hospital, the trusted choice for pediatric care in South Florida, continues to share best practices, policies and procedures developed and continuously enhanced over its more than 70-year history. This partnership also includes the 12-bed De George Pediatric Unit and 16-bed De George Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Experts from both institutions are collaborating to provide world-class pediatric emergency care. The Mastroianni Family Pediatric Emergency Department is a standalone 6,300-square-foot pediatric wing, specifically designed to be a family-focused, child-friendly environment, with services / amenities including :

7 Pediatric-specific beds and 2 triage rooms

Applicants should possess a passion for advocacy and improving care for all children. The Jupiter Medical Center pediatric emergency medicine team will provide 24 / 7 in-house coverage. Clinical duties include management of inpatient pediatric admissions, consultation on specialty patients, coverage of deliveries and nursery patients on night shifts with available backup from a board-certified neonatologist.

Academic Affiliation

Employed staff benefit from affiliations with our educational partner, Florida International University (FIU). This position includes an appointment to the Faculty of FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
