Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OB / GYN Sonographer with at least 3 years of experience and active RDMS-OB / GYN and BLS certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a busy acute-care OB / GYN ultrasound department
  • Patient population includes both obstetric and gynecologic cases
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM with a 30-45 minute lunch and Fridays from 8 : 00 AM to 2 : 00 PM with a shorter break
  • No holidays, weekends, nights, or call required
  • Three to four sonographers are on staff daily with support from 7 OBGYN doctors and 5 advanced practice providers
  • Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience preferred
  • Duties include performing OB and GYN ultrasounds in a high-volume office setting
  • Team environment with support from multiple sonographers, physicians, and advanced practice providers
  • 24 hours of paid orientation provided
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
  • No blocked scheduling or special scheduling requests will be accommodated
  • Permanent employees must be separated for at least one year before applying for a travel position

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in OB / GYN ultrasound
  • Current BLS and RDMS-OB / GYN (via ARDMS) certifications required
  • License required if applicable
  • Strong OB scanning skills are essential
  • Active state license must be held at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
  • Driver’s license required
  • Two professional references required : one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
