About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Anesthesiologist with a specialty in Cardiac Anesthesiology for a locum tenens assignment in Iowa. This 30-day opportunity begins on Aug 11, 2025, and features a schedule primarily covering day shifts from Monday to Friday, with additional requirements based on case needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide anesthesiology services in a Trauma center within a hospital setting
  • Oversee and potentially supervise CRNAs at an ASC depending on daily case loads
  • Read, interpret, and bill for TEE procedures, ensuring comprehensive cardiac care
  • Participate in both cardiac and occasionally non-cardiac cases as required

  • Board Certification in Anesthesiology required, Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
  • Active Iowa medical license or IMLC eligibility required
  • Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • TEE Certification is mandatory
  • COVID vaccination status must be up-to-date
