Our client, Ledgent Technology, is seeking a Senior SAP S / 4HANA Consultant - Finance & Retail Transformation. This is a hybrid full-time role (2-3 days remote) in San Francisco, CA. Pay rate : $86 - $107 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Apply via Dice today. The project began in March and is in the final phase, focusing on optimizing financial and retail operations. Candidates with a Finance / Accounting background and extensive SAP S / 4HANA Finance experience, including multiple digital transformation projects, are preferred. Retail SAP implementation experience will be prioritized. You will collaborate with accounting, finance, and IT leaders to define business requirements and drive delivery through SAP systems, playing a leadership role in the final phase of the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Requirement Definition : Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with SAP S / 4HANA functionalities and system capabilities.
• Finance Process Expertise : Provide insight and technical support around finance and accounting processes, including financial reporting, accounts payable / receivable (AP / AR), asset accounting, management accounting (CO), and other SAP S / 4HANA workflows.
• Transformation Support : Drive the final stages of the SAP S / 4HANA transformation roadmap, ensuring deliverables meet business needs.
• System Optimization : Work with IT teams to troubleshoot, enhance, and optimize SAP S / 4HANA functionalities across financial and retail operations.
• Retail-Specific SAP Solutions : Influence SAP adoption strategies for retail-related operations (inventory management, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, supply chain).
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Serve as the liaison between finance, accounting, IT, and operations to ensure alignment on transformation goals.
• Training and Documentation : Prepare end-users with comprehensive documentation and training to ensure system proficiency and adoption.
• Manage Project Progress : Provide strategic project oversight and ensure timely completion of key deliverables, addressing challenges as they arise.

Key Qualifications

Minimum 6-8 years of SAP consulting experience, with at least 3 full-cycle SAP S / 4HANA Finance transformations.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA in Finance preferred).

Direct experience on SAP implementations for retail or companies with retail operations preferred.

Expertise in SAP Activate methodology and experience with data migrations and integrations.

Ability to bridge business requirements between finance / accounting and IT, and communicate clearly across teams.

Ability to identify and close process gaps, troubleshoot technical challenges, and drive scalable SAP solutions.
