Shift : Description :

What you will do :

• Transports patients to and from Radiology from other patient care areas.
• Assures proper patient identification using two (two) forms of verification prior to patient transport.
• Assess patient's transport needs and alters transport plan as appropriate.
• Communicates to other areas patient location in radiology.
• Uses oxygen when appropriate at proper levels.
• Assists in transferring patients to procedure table utilizing proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques.
• Consults with health team members as needed. Ensures "hand-off" communication is completed.
• Assures quality patient care in an environment of dignity, worth, and confidentiality.
• Answers patient call light within Radiology.
• Transports specimens to the lab as directed by staff per infection control policy.
Requirements :
• HS / GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• BLS. Mandatory Reporter Training.
