American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for Red Wing and nearby outreach coverage, requiring at least 1 year of cardiac sonography experience and ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Primary work location is an echocardiography department with potential coverage for outreach locations including Cannon Falls and Lake CityPatient population includes neonate through geriatric casesDuties include adult and pediatric echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and stress echo proceduresStaff participate in outreach, on-call rotation, and holiday, evening, or weekend coverage as neededRequires availability for 24-hour call with a 30-minute response timeUses Epic EMR; prior experience preferredIndependently perform comprehensive echocardiograms and integrate multiple imaging modalities to obtain accurate patient dataDocument patient and exam information using the Echo Information Management System and necessary computer applicationsAssist with orientation and training for trainees, students, and visitors assigned to cardiovascular servicesExpectations include proficiency with all imaging equipment and specialties, understanding of sterile technique, and proper precaution for radiation and infection hazardsCOVID vaccination and booster are requiredAssignments may last up to one year with a mandatory 30–60 day break before returning for another assignmentTravelers are expected to complete lab testing within 24 hours of assignment commitment\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year experience in adult and pediatric cardiac sonography including transesophageal and stress echo proceduresAssociate's degree or graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program requiredCurrent ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification requiredBLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)Must demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic and patient care proceduresMust be able to tolerate frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders, and occasional twistingLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
