Job Summary
The Corporate Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for overseeing the company’s certification and compliance strategy, ensuring all operations align with regulatory, contractual, and quality standards. This role serves as the internal expert for AS9100, ISO 9001, and NAVSEA welding compliance, while also supporting other key frameworks such as AS9102, AS9103, and CMMC 2.0. The auditor develops, manages, and enforces corporate quality policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance and audit readiness across all business units.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and maintain certification processes for AS9100 D, AS9102, AS9103, ISO 9001, CMMC 2.0, and NAVSEA welding compliance.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal, external, and customer audits; track findings and drive effective corrective actions.
- Draft, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures aligned with certification requirements.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, IT, and HR to embed compliance into workflows and organizational culture.
- Support HR in developing and delivering training programs to ensure staff understanding of certification requirements and best practices.
- Monitor regulatory and industry changes; proactively adjust compliance strategies to maintain certification readiness.
- Maintain accurate records, controlled documents, and dashboards to support audit readiness and executive reporting.
- Manage corporate documentation related to certifications, including NAVSEA welding procedure qualifications and welder performance qualifications
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Required : Minimum 2+ years of direct experience in quality management or auditing, including :AS9100 D certification management and auditing
ISO 9001 complianceNAVSEA welding standards (welding procedures, welder qualification, and inspection criteria)Experience with AS9102 and AS9103 preferred.Strong project management, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret technical standards and translate them into operational practices.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Relevant quality certifications (CQA, CQM, or equivalent) preferred.Must be a U.S. Person (per export control requirements).ND Defense is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
