Healthcare Setting : Women’s Hospital, 2nd Floor – Labor & Delivery Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nurse contract)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel RN

Unit Size : 19 beds (high-risk LDR)

Patient Ratios : 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 (ACOG / AWHONN guidelines)

Documentation System : Meditech / CPN

Scheduling : Modified self-scheduling

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820 - $1950

Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses)

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification

Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in Labor & Delivery nursing

Clinical skills in high-risk antepartum, labor, and recovery patient care

Ability to perform cervical checks and IV placement

Compliance with hospital dress code : hospital-provided scrubs, clean nails, neat hair, no visible piercings (except ears), tattoos covered

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive care for high-risk antepartum, labor, and recovery patients

Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring equipment

Perform cervical checks and IV placements

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective patient care

Accurately document patient care using Meditech / CPN systems

Float to antepartum or gynecology units as needed

Maintain compliance with hospital policies and dress code
