Job Description

As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrols in Niagara Falls, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and support a secure environment by responding promptly to incidents. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions found during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site procedures.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency response activities, following established protocols for the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential security-related incidents.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
