About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Tech

Certifications : BLS, COVID Vaccine Required

Must-Have :

• Experience in Obstetrics
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR systems

Description :

Ratios : Per ACOG and local standards; 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 couplets.

Charge Nurse will triage patients.

OB Techs will function as aides when no cases are scheduled.

Weekend requirement : Every other weekend, night shifts.

Holidays will rotate with staff, one of every three major holidays.

Scrub color is ceil blue, provided by the facility.

Anesthesia is available 24 / 7, typically in-house during active labor.

A majority of the population elects for epidurals.

Private OB / GYN physicians are available after hours and on weekends.

Charting system utilized is Cerner.

Not a BSN required position.
