  • This position has oversight to ensure that clients are safe, have all physical needs met, socially engaged and developed through programming.
  • Oversees residential services to ensure that the residential units are safe, clean and orderly.
  • Advocates and intervenes in the concerns and issues of clients and staff.
  • Performs a daily review of the AV in a Day review forms of Client Care Tech Managers and Client Care Techs
  • Performs a daily review of all incident reports
  • Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state and federal regulation
  • Establishes the on-going staffing plan to recruit, train and retain staffing necessary to reach our residential capacity goals
  • Develops, implements and reviews the food services plan to ensure the client's meals exceed quality, safety and nutritional requirements.
  • Develops, implements and reviews a programming plan that facilitates the client's development in the areas outlined in the DCF PPS Standard Manual with measurable outcomes.
  • Develops, implements and reviews an on-going staffing plan to help recruit, train and retain staffing necessary to reach our residential capacity goals.
  • All plans are periodically reviewed plan to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives are
  • Directs the activities for the review, audit, monitoring and evaluation of programming performance and services and ensures the implementation of program modifications to reflect the changing needs of the
  • Regularly reports to the Executive Director on work progress any issues and concerns.
  • Provides support to the Executive Director for regular assignments and special projects.
  • Acts as a positive role model and mentor for both staff and clients

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Frequently move / lift between 25-50 pounds, depending on assignment requirements
  • Perform all duties that may require sitting, kneeling, squatting and walking
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a Social or Behavioral Sciences discipline
  • Three (3) years related work experience and at least two (2) years supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with mental health theory and practice
  • Proficient technology skills utilizing either a Macintosh or Windows platform, including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
  • DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES :

  • Current CPR / First Aid Certification
  • Knowledgeable and sensitive in working with culturally diverse staff and clients
  • Solid knowledge in social helping and a positive approach to complex mental health issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including both oral and written.
  • Must have strong skills in organization and planning, demonstrated ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple people and projects
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise sound judgment and confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, community agencies, and consumers
  • OTHER POSITION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

  • If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must possess a current state driver's license and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
  • Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check and a physical exam and TB test
