Description :

Heidtman Tubular Products, a Heidtman Steel company, is seeking dedicated and experienced production workers to join our team in Erie, MI. We are looking for individuals who are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality and efficiency in our production processes.

Responsibilities :

  • Operate forklift and overhead crane to move, load, unload, and store finished goods and in-process materials.
  • Verify and properly identify materials to ensure accuracy in production.
  • Manage the storage and offline readiness of banding materials and tags for bundles.
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure the quality of products being produced for inventory.
  • Actively participate in change-overs and set up bundles according to packaging requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with the Mill Operator regarding product quality.
  • Engage in active participation during breakdowns and bottlenecks to maintain production flow.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic problem-solving skills to address production challenges.

    • Desired Experience :

  • Prior experience in steel processing industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
