User Experience Designer / Service Designer (Senior)(MD and PA State) Job at BVA B

Overview BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a User Experience Designer / Service Designer (Senior) for both MD and PA areas. These positions are full-time, remote roles with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required in PA and MD. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6 : 00am and 6 : 00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with core hours (9am to 3pm) covered.

Responsibilities As a User Experience Designer / Service Designer (Senior), you will bring best practices in human-centered design to support initiatives across the state to holistically improve users’ end-to-end experiences with state services. Be a champion for user needs and guide designers, researchers, content strategists as well as technical teams on projects with state agencies. Engage with stakeholders across organizations to build customer understanding, solve challenging problems, and empower teams to collaboratively develop metrics, measure results, and integrate new methodologies optimizing customer experience and program performance. Communicate user research findings and insights through artifacts including personas, journey maps, wireframes and prototypes.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications : This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. OR Five (5) years of equivalent experience in a related field may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.

Specialized Experience : The candidate should have experience planning and facilitating workshops, meetings and / or other interactive sessions to gather feedback and insight from key customers and stakeholders to determine operational needs and changes to the program.

Preferred Qualifications : A minimum of five (5) years of experience in user experience and service design.
