Essential Responsibilities :
Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive, age-specific assessments and reassessments.
- Collaborate with family members, significant others, and healthcare providers to gather complete medical histories.
- Document findings in accordance with unit policies.
Diagnosis
Identify actual or potential physical, psychosocial, cultural, religious, safety, infection control, environmental, and educational needs.Prioritize patient care based on assessment results.Interpret findings to prepare patient and family education and care plans.Planning / Outcome
Work with healthcare team members to develop and revise individualized care and discharge plans.Create education plans based on standards of care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.Adjust plans according to patient physical, emotional changes, and input from patients and families.Implementation
Deliver age-appropriate care aligned with the plan and patient priorities.Apply evidence-based interventions tailored to diagnoses.Utilize community resources to support care plans and coordinate access.Collaborate with caregivers to ensure cohesive plan execution.Evaluation
Assess effectiveness of respiratory interventions and patient responses.Modify care plans based on evaluations and feedback.Evaluate patient and family understanding and response to education.Note : This description outlines primary duties but is not exhaustive. Education and Experience Required :
Graduate of a CoARC-accredited respiratory therapy program.Associate Degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.Licensure and Certifications :
Obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care within one year of hire and maintain active status.Hold active Respiratory Care Provider license from the state health professions bureau.Work Shift : 1st Shift
