RATIOS : Ratios 2 : 1 (can flex up to 3 : 1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12

PATIENT DIAGNOSES : We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population : strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling / clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used : EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : Comprehensive Stroke Center
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT : EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.
UNIT SYSTEMS : Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
SCHEDULING TYPE : Per the Unit Needs
UNIT ORIENTATION : 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights
SCRUBS : Navy blue & White.
