About the Role

Are you an experienced retirement plan administrator looking for a dynamic remote opportunity? Join this Third-Party Administrator (TPA) firm and take the lead in managing custom-designed 401(k) plans for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full administration for both large and small 401(k) plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Conduct compliance testing, including nondiscrimination testing, ADP / ACP tests, top-heavy testing, and coverage testing
  • Prepare and file annual reports, including Form 5500, 8955-SSA, and other regulatory filings
  • Monitor plan operations to ensure adherence to IRS, DOL, and ERISA guidelines
  • Process contributions, distributions, loans, and rollovers, ensuring proper tax treatment and compliance
  • Maintain and update plan documents in accordance with regulatory requirements and amendments
  • Perform plan audits and reconcile financial records to identify and resolve compliance issues
  • Ensure timely Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) for eligible participants
  • Provide guidance on corrective actions, including plan amendments, refunds, and reallocation of contributions
  • Stay current with legislative and regulatory changes, ensuring clients remain compliant with evolving rules
  • Engage in daily client communication, assisting with compliance questions and regulatory concerns
  • Collaborate with plan sponsors, financial advisors, and payroll providers to optimize plan administration
  • Utilize ftwilliam software to manage plan compliance and reporting efficiently

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a TPA firm handling full 401(k) plan administration
  • Strong understanding of compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with ftwilliam software
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • QKA or other ASPPA designation is a plus
  • Pay range and compensation package

    Salary range : $70,000 - $85,000. This is a fully remote position, providing the flexibility to work from anywhere while making a meaningful impact on retirement plans. If you're ready to bring your expertise to a collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you!
