NDCS is seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking leader to serve as Assistant Warden at the Community Corrections Center - Lincoln. This role supports the Warden in overseeing day-to-day operations and plays a key leadership role in facility safety, performance, and effective correctional practices. The Assistant Warden must be security minded and reentry driven to fulfill the facility's mission : Creating Neighbors Through Change. Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise multiple departments, including but not limited to Custody, Unit Management, Maintenance, and Food Service
Monitor and improve performance metrics across all functional areas
Ensure proper inmate classification and program completion to support successful reentry
Foster open communication and positive relationships with staff, incarcerated individuals, families, and community stakeholders
Serve as a leadership role model, promoting systems thinking and forward-looking strategies
Requirement / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and related administrative experience with demonstrated administrative ability and leadership OR Completion of a career development program including work-related experience, training, or college credits equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications :
Other : Must have a valid driver's license. Successful completion of background check. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order : medical exam, and at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
