As the Coat Check Attendant you will be responsible for efficiently handling coats, bags, and personal items while maintaining a high standard of organization, cleanliness, and security.
Responsibilities :
- Greet guests as they arrive and offer them prompt and courteous coat check services.
- Safely and efficiently check in coats, bags, and personal items, issuing claim tickets and ensuring all items are returned to the correct guest at the end of the event or visit
- Keep the coat check area organized, neat, and tidy at all times. Ensure that items are hung properly and stored securely, minimizing clutter and maximizing space efficiency.
- Ensure the security of all items being checked, maintaining a strict process for handling and retrieving guests' belongings
- Address any special needs or requests from guests related to their personal items
- Maintain a calm, organized, demeanor. Prioritize guest satisfaction while keeping the process smooth and quick
- Ensure that the coat check station is stocked with all necessary supplies
- Assist with crowd control in the coat check area during peak times, ensuring that guests are served promptly and efficiently
- Maintain a log of unclaimed items and assist with managing lost and found
- Follow all venue policies and procedures for guest interaction, item handling, and security.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times, ensuring guests feel valued and taken care of.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred. Experience working in a high-end venue, hotel, or luxury event environment is a plusExcellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage guests in a professional, friendly, and respectful mannerStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple items and tasks at onceAbility to stand for extender periods of time, lift and handle coats and bags and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentA customer centric attitude with the ability to maintain a calm, approachable demeanor even in high-pressure situationsImpeccable grooming and presentationPunctuality and a strong work ethic.
