Job Summary

The on-call Security Specialist will provide access control to the building while ensuring visitors sign-in / out and are properly escorted to their locations, along with other duties as outlined below.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide access control to the building, ensure visitors sign-in / out, and are properly escorted.
Verify visitor clearances, gate access forms, and compare inquiries to databases.
Maintain and utilize Government-furnished computerized visitor databases including SMS, DISS, CROSS, and other security records.
Handle protocol for meetings, create and vet meeting lists, ensure clearances are passed correctly within databases, and communicate with POCs, admins, or FSOs.
Monitor on-site personnel for compliance with security policies within a SCIF.
Issue, receive, and conduct inventory of visitor badges.
Update campus badges for employees.
Monitor and evaluate security posture for OPSEC, INFOSEC, and overall security.
Support physical security functions related to restricted areas.
Coordinate issuance and update property passes, monitor property entering / exiting.
Manage incoming and outgoing security classified mail.
Respond to alarms and alarm issues during off-hours as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements / Education :

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and databases.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent customer service skills and professionalism.

Ability to multi-task with visitors, computer tasks, and phone calls.

Preferred experience with DISS, SMS, CROSS, or similar government databases.

On-call, weekday daytime availability (Monday to Friday, 6am-5pm).

Security Clearance :

TS / SCI clearance required or eligible for SCI.
