Your Position As a Controls Project Engineer , you'll play a key role in the design, development, and commissioning of automation control systems —mainly using PLCs and industrial PCs (FSC). This isn't just a desk job : you'll be traveling across Europe (around 60% of your time ) to bring world-class automation systems to life, working hand-in-hand with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, programming, and commissioning of sortation and automation systems (PLCs, FSC).
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation : specifications, functional descriptions, software programs, and system architecture.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers for smooth system integration.
  • Take charge of on-site commissioning and troubleshoot during start-up.
  • Work directly with clients and suppliers , clarifying technical details and solving issues.
  • Deliver training sessions to operational and maintenance staff.
  • Monitor system performance during ramp-up and propose improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering standards and QA practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industrial regulations. Your Profile You bring a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving, and communication skills , with the motivation to learn and grow in an international environment.Requirements :
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (TIA Portal, ProfiSafe, Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
  • Understanding of TCP / IP communications .
  • Familiarity with SCADA / HMI systems and fieldbus (Profinet, Profibus, ASi).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and produce documentation.
  • Communication skills in Spanish and English (B2+) .
  • Willingness to travel around 60% across Europe for commissioning and support.
  • Previous experience in field commissioning and troubleshooting is a high plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems is a high plus .
