Production Manager

Overview

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Production Manager to support the production operation responsibilities at our Houston, MS branch. Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam-, rubber-, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. Responsibilities

• Monitor processes to verify conformance to specifications and direct adjustments needed to avoid or correct issues
• Visually inspect product and quality checks for non-conforming issues or defects
• Direct personnel to make the proper process adjustments to maintain product quality standards
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
• Inform maintenance personnel of production line break downs and repair needs
• Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems
• Initiate and / or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
• Ensure all employees are adequately trained to perform tasks safely
• Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to maintain ongoing safe, environmentally sound operation of the production process
• Plan and schedule employees for required production line housekeeping tasks
• Monitor production records for accuracy, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
• Fully supports and participates in all Safety, Environmental, Continuous Improvement Process and the Quality Management System
