Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position in a hospital resource pool, requiring recent Epic experience and a current or pending NY RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the resource pool, floating to Med / Surg and Telemetry units as needed
  • Expected to care for ED hold patients as well as general Med / Surg Telemetry cases
  • Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
  • Minimum requirement to work every other weekend and schedule adjustments as needed for patient care
  • Must work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas (or Christmas Eve), and New Year's (or New Year's Eve)
  • No block scheduling permitted for any reason
  • Orientation is biweekly on Mondays with the next available start date noted
  • Must have reliable transportation as public transit is not accessible in the area
  • Vehicles should have all-season or snow tires from November through April
  • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
  • Work attire, scrub, and dress code requirements not specified

  • Active NY RN license or proof of application with applied date required for consideration
  • Minimum of 1 year recent RN experience required
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required before start
  • Epic charting experience within the past 2 years is required
