About The Position

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• No previous license hits

Description :

The position involves working with a 30-bed unit focused on neurological and telemetry patients.

The patient population includes individuals with a range of conditions, such as post-ictal seizure patients and new strokes.

Nursing responsibilities include conducting neuro checks every two hours and managing patients post TPA / TNK, craniectomies, and burrholes.

Elective VEEG patients, where seizures are induced on the unit, will also be part of the caseload.

Additional patient care may involve managing amiodarone and diltiazem drips, IVIG administration, plasmapheresis, and overflow medicine-surgical patients as needed.

Registered Nurses should be well-versed in cardiac arrhythmias and current with their EKG competencies.

There will be a requirement to participate in a holiday and weekend rotation.

Call will be on an as-needed basis.

Continuing education includes eight hours of neuro education annually.
