Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with at least 2 years of experience and an active OR RN license for night shifts, with strong preference for Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit

Patient ratio is 1 : 3

May float to care for stable post-partum couplets in mother / baby as needed

Night shift position with 3x12-hour shifts, 19 : 00-07 : 30

Charting is done in Epic, with strong preference for prior Epic experience

Responsibilities include caring for patients during labor and delivery and floating to mother / baby as required

Orientation shifts will be provided for float departments

Coverage required for major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's

Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed during the 13-week assignment

Modules completed during orientation are required annually

Dress code and additional work environment details will be provided during orientation

Candidates must provide address documentation for verification of distance

Requirements

Active OR RN license required

Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Current BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred

Experience with Epic charting strongly preferred but not required

First-time travelers will not be considered

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility address

No pending references allowed; two professional references from the past year are required, including one manager reference
