This position emphasizes collaboration with the healthcare team to enhance care quality in the designated clinical area, utilizing research and evidence-based practices. The Level II RN is accountable for delivering comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centered care to an assigned group of patients through assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing processes.\n\nCore Practice Standards for a Level II Registered Nurse : \n\nOur Level II Registered Nurse adheres to the following standards : \n

- Direct and coordinate nursing care, while overseeing both licensed and unlicensed personnel in assigned tasks to achieve optimal patient outcomes through teamwork.\n
- Involve patients, families, and healthcare team members in care planning and discharge processes.\n
- Communicate effectively with other team members regarding the plan of care.\n
- Contribute to defining excellence in patient care and enhancing service quality.\n
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and quality enhancement activities.\n
- Participate in the orientation of new staff members.\n
- Serve as a resource for hospital and departmental policies to the nursing team.\n
- Assist with daily operations to ensure a safe patient and staff environment.\n
- Provide insights on unit needs to the Nurse Manager.\n
- Participate in committees to shape nursing and hospital policies.\n
- Perform additional duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications : \n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with relevant RN experience.\n
- Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state required.\n
- BSN is preferred.\n
- AHA BLS Provider CPR certification is required upon hire.\n
- AHA ACLS Provider certification is required within 6 months.\n
- NIHSS (Bluecloud) certification is required within 90 days.\n\nNotes for External Temporary RNs : \n
- Any required certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) must be obtained upon hire.\n
- If CPI, ONS, or NIHSS are required, certification must be acquired within 30 days for an External Temporary RN.\n
