Job Description
Execute final assembly operations for electricity transformers in accordance with established standard methods and procedures. Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing. Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).
Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system. Place and anchor core / coil assemblies into tanks. Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.
Work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises. Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals. Address any nonconforming parts or products through rework.
Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization. Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required. Ability to operate industrial equipment and hand tools.
Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
